The short version: Your financial data lives in your Google Drive, not on our servers. We only access what's necessary to make the app work, and you have complete control over your data at all times.

Google Account Information

When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive access to:

• Your name
• Your profile picture

Financial Data

The financial information you enter into the app, including:

• Income records
• Expense entries
• Budget allocations
• Savings goals

Important: This data is stored in your own Google Sheets within your Google Drive—not on our servers.

Usage Data

Basic technical information for app functionality, such as device type, browser information, and PWA installation status.

Cached Data

To enable offline functionality, our service worker caches data locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is used only for offline access.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you via Google OAuth
• Store and retrieve your financial data from your Google Sheets
• Enable offline functionality through browser caching
• Improve app functionality and user experience

Data Storage & Security

Your financial data is stored in your own Google Drive—we do not store it on our servers. This means:

• You maintain full ownership and control of your data
• Your data is protected by Google's security measures
• We cannot access your financial data beyond the OAuth permissions you grant
• You can revoke access at any time through your Google account settings

For offline functionality, the service worker caches data locally on your device. This cached data is encrypted by your browser and remains on your device only.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

The only third-party services involved are:

• Google OAuth: Used for authentication
• Google Sheets API: Used to store and retrieve your financial data in your Google Drive

If you use our shared finance features, you can grant access to household members. In this case, the data you share will be visible to those users you authorize.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your data directly in your Google Sheets
• Modify: Edit your financial data anytime through the app or directly in Google Sheets
• Delete: Remove any or all of your data from your Google Sheets
• Export: Download your data from Google Sheets in various formats
• Revoke Access: Remove the app's access to your Google account at any time through your Google account settings
• Clear Cache: Clear locally cached data through your browser settings

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal browser storage for essential functionality:

• OAuth Tokens: Stored in your browser to keep you signed in
• Service Worker Cache: Enables offline functionality
• Local Storage: Stores app preferences and PWA installation status

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Children's Privacy

Abundant Living is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
